Dubai,: Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced the full rollout of its Vehicle Inspection Appointment Booking service across all technical testing centres in the emirate, effective 2nd June 2025. The service, accessible via the RTA Dubai app and www.rta.ae, will now be mandatory for all inspections, with an optional AED 100 walk-in fee at 19 centres.The move follows a successful pilot at Tasjeel Al Qusais and Al Barsha, which saw a 46% drop in waiting times and a 15% decrease in centre congestion. The system aims to streamline the inspection process and improve customer satisfaction.
Eight centres will operate exclusively through pre-booked appointments, while Tasjeel Hatta remains exempt. People of Determination and senior citizens are also exempt from the booking requirement.“The initiative will significantly reduce peak-hour congestion and enhance service quality,” said Qais Al Farsi, Director of Vehicle Licensing at RTA.
