Dubai,: Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has confirmed that all 893 air-conditioned bus shelters across 622 locations are fully operational and ready for the summer season.The initiative follows a proactive inspection and maintenance campaign launched in March to ensure optimal functionality and comfort for public transport users. RTA officials conducted site visits throughout the day and night to verify the performance of cooling systems, digital display screens, and overall cleanliness.“These preventive measures ensure reliability, public safety, and comfort,” said Shaikha Ahmad AlShaikh, Director of Buildings and Facilities at RTA. She also highlighted the availability of feedback channels through the ‘Madinati’ service on the RTA Dubai app.The shelters are designed in line with the Dubai Universal Design Code for People of Determination and built to withstand harsh weather while supporting sustainability goals.
