The Interior Minister and Chairman of the Supreme Hajj Committee, Abdul Aziz bin Saud, announced that preparations for next year’s Hajj would begin today. He mentioned that this year’s Hajj was a complete success, attributing it to the joint efforts of all departments to make the Hajj successful. The minister received senior officials from the Ministry of Interior, National Security Agency, National Guard, Defense Department, Intelligence Agency, and Hajj Security Forces at the Ministry of Interior headquarters in Mecca. The prior planning, effective organization, and optimal use of technology were noted as reasons for the Hajj’s success. The security forces provided all the required safety measures for the pilgrims. The health department also provided improved services. The Head of Public Security stated that the Hajj security forces would remain on duty until the last pilgrim returns to their country.
