The initiative is part of RTA’s focus on reducing carbon emissions across three main areas: public transport, buildings and facilities, and waste management.

The RTA is also upgrading its vehicle tracking systems, adopting advanced maintenance technologies, and encouraging staff to switch to hybrid vehicles. Training sessions are being held to educate employees on energy-efficient practices and the proper use of green vehicles, supporting the long-term goal of improved air quality and a more sustainable Dubai.
