Dubai:In a significant move to enhance the commuting experience, Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has launched free Wi-Fi across 43 public transport stations, including 21 bus stations and 22 marine transport stations, in collaboration with telecom giant e&.The newly introduced service allows passengers to stay connected via smartphones, tablets, or laptops throughout their journeys, marking a major step in RTA’s broader digital transformation strategy.“This initiative is a key part of our efforts to improve public services for all segments of society and aligns with the UAE’s vision of building a smart, connected future,” said an RTA spokesperson.

The authority emphasized that the free Wi-Fi will significantly improve day-to-day travel by making commutes more convenient, productive, and enjoyable. It also reinforces Dubai’s vision of becoming the smartest and happiest city in the world.
The service will be regularly monitored and evaluated, with plans for future expansion and upgrades in collaboration with e&, ensuring high-quality, reliable internet access for all public transport users in the emirate.
