Dubai: Celebrated UAE-based artists Nandan Kakkoor and Lovely Nisar have inaugurated their much-anticipated joint art exhibition, titled “Hues of Sighs”, in Dubai. The exhibition is currently being held at the SIT Tower, University Training Centre premises, in Dubai Silicon Oasis, from 10:00 AM to 8:30 PM daily.
The exhibition showcases over 50 unique creations by Nandan Kakkoor—renowned painter and university professor—and Lovely Nisar, a noted writer, singer, and vibrant figure in the UAE’s cultural scene. The works span a variety of expressive styles and themes, prominently featuring the diverse moods of nature, alongside explorations of the human psyche and the identity challenges faced by women.

Organized as part of an initiative to promote and support expatriate artists, the University Arts Centre management emphasized its commitment to fostering multicultural creative expressions. Both artists shared during a press meet that the exhibition seeks to present relatable narratives and artistic styles that resonate with everyday audiences.
Nandan Kakkoor described the exhibition as an attempt to portray the many moods of nature, while Lovely Nisar delved deeper, stating her works reflect the complexity of human emotions and the identity crises often faced by women. She also highlighted her ongoing efforts to inspire other talented homemakers in the expatriate community through her active involvement in visual arts and music. In addition to canvas works, she noted her experimental ventures with mediums like acrylic and clay.

The exhibition was officially inaugurated by writer Shemi and media professional Faslu. Special guest at the event was makeup artist Ranju Ranjimar, with additional speeches delivered by Ijaz Khan (CEO, Mafaz Investments), author Basheer Thikkodi, journalist Anoop Keechery, and Dr. Siji Ravindran.
Hues of Sighs will run until Sunday, June 22, and entry is free to all visitors.
