Abu Dhabi:Dr. Dhanalakshmi, a 54-year-old Malayali dentist originally from Thalapp, Kannur, was found dead at her residence in the Shabiya area of Mussafah, Abu Dhabi.The body was discovered late last night after friends alerted authorities when she failed to respond to calls for two consecutive days. Local police arrived at the scene and transferred the body to Baniyas Mortuary for further procedures.Dr. Dhanalakshmi was working as a dentist at Mussafah Life Care Hospital and had not reported to work since Monday. She had been living in the UAE for over a decade.She was an active member of the Abu Dhabi Malayalee Samajam and known for her cultural contributions and writings. She was also active on social media platforms. Prior to her move abroad, she had worked at Dhanalakshmi Hospital in Kannur.Her husband, Sujith, is currently in Kerala. The couple did not have children. Dr. Dhanalakshmi was the daughter of the late Narayanan, former owner of Anandakrishna Bus Service, and Chandramathi. She is survived by her siblings Anandakrishnan, Shivaram, and Dr. Seethalakshmi.Repatriation procedures are currently underway to transport the body to her hometown in Kerala.
