Dubai :The Indian media fraternity in the UAE has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of veteran communist leader and former Chief Minister of Kerala, V.S. Achuthanandan.In a heartfelt condolence meeting held at the Khisais Calicut Notebook, journalists and media professionals reflected on the indelible legacy of the iconic leader. “V.S. was never a book one could easily read and finish. He was a relentless sun of resistance that spanned a century,” said speakers, highlighting his lifelong fight for the rights of the common people.Members of the media community emphasized that Achuthanandan’s death places a greater responsibility on journalists to remain the voice of the marginalized and uphold justice through fearless reporting. “We must continue to stand up through our stories—against those who plunder public wealth, against perpetrators of violence against women, and those who harm the environment. Journalism must be the frontline resistance wherever injustice festers,” the condolence resolution stated.
