Dubai :Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced the upcoming opening of a new exit from the collector road connecting Financial Centre Street to Ras Al Khor Road, near the Bu Kadra Interchange. Set to open in early August, this development is part of the RTA’s Rapid Traffic Solutions Plan aimed at improving traffic flow and road network efficiency, especially in high-demand zones like Ras Al Khor. The new exit is expected to significantly improve traffic movement at the Bu Kadra Interchange by reducing congestion and travel time for motorists. Vehicles traveling from Financial Centre Street will now experience a 54% reduction in travel time, from 13 minutes down to just 6 minutes during peak hours.

This initiative aligns with RTA’s broader strategy to continuously enhance Dubai’s infrastructure in tandem with its rapid urban development. The Ras Al Khor area, which borders key commercial, residential, and industrial hubs, has been a focal point for traffic improvement projects.
The newly constructed exit complements other recent upgrades in the area. Notably, Exit 25 from Ras Al Khor Road to Al Khail Road in the direction of Al Meydan Street was recently expanded from one to two lanes over a 500-metre stretch. This enhancement doubled the exit’s capacity to 3,000 vehicles per hour, reducing traffic queues and cutting peak-time travel from 7 minutes to just 4 minutes. These strategic developments reflect RTA’s ongoing commitment to building a seamless and efficient transportation network that meets the needs of a growing Dubai.
