Dubai:Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has introduced ‘Tadreeb’, a groundbreaking digital platform that fully transforms driver training and qualification across the emirate. Serving over 250,000 trainees annually with more than six million training hours, the system connects 27 training institutes, 3,400 instructors, and 3,000 vehicles into one unified, AI-powered network.Ahmed Mahboob, CEO of RTA’s Licensing Agency, said the platform ensures “quality training, improved safety, and stronger governance,” while cutting permit wait times in half and offering a 97% compliance rate among trainers. Each training vehicle is geo-tracked and assessments are fully automated, making the process seamless and paperless.
Recognised globally by the International Commission for Driver Testing (CIECA) and winner of the Prince Michael International Road Safety Award, Tadreeb is the first unified driver training platform of its kind worldwide.

Looking ahead, RTA plans to expand the platform’s use of artificial intelligence to personalise training, automate oversight, and enhance road safety standards for the next generation of drivers.
