Sharjah: The consecration of the newly renovated holy altar at St. Mary’s Jacobite Syrian Soonoro Patriarchal Cathedral, Sharjah, will be held on Saturday, August 30, at 7:30 p.m. The solemn service will be led by His Grace Yuhanon Mor Meletheose, Metropolitan of Thumpamon Diocese.
Following the consecration, the church will begin its eight-day Lent observance on Sunday evening, August 31, in preparation for the Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
The parish committee has extended an invitation to all faithful and community members, irrespective of caste or creed, to participate in the spiritual celebrations.
