Ajman: Residents in Ajman and across the UAE can look forward to a long weekend this September. The Ajman Department of Human Resources has officially announced a public holiday on Friday, September 5, 2025, to mark the birthday of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), corresponding to 13th Rabi Al Awwal 1447 AH.
Long Weekend for UAE Residents
Since the holiday falls on a Friday, employees will enjoy a three-day weekend, as it coincides with the official weekend (Saturday and Sunday). This announcement applies to both public and private sector employees across the UAE, offering citizens and residents a chance to celebrate the blessed occasion with family and loved ones.
Official Circulars Issued
The Ajman Department of Human Resources issued a circular to all government entities within the emirate confirming the holiday. Similarly, the Dubai Government Human Resources Department (DGHR) has declared that all government entities, departments, and institutions will also observe the holiday on Friday, September 5, 2025.
Official duties are set to resume on Monday, September 8, 2025.
