Dubai: Renowned playback singer KS Chithra has expressed concern over the increasing presence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the music industry. Speaking to the media in Dubai ahead of her upcoming live concert, Chithra admitted that the growing influence of AI-based technologies in music and cinema is unsettling.
“There are changes happening across all fields. I always try to adapt and embrace new trends. The younger generation of singers has been a source of inspiration for me in many ways,” she said, recalling how she once feared public speaking but learned to overcome it by observing today’s performers.

When asked about maintaining vocal excellence over the years, Chithra emphasized the importance of regular practice. “Even now, I never skip my music training,” she said.
Chithra is visiting the UAE after a gap of seven years to perform in the much-anticipated live musical event “Timeless Melodies” at the Sharjah Expo Centre this Saturday. The four-hour concert will feature performances by Stephen Devassy, Harishankar, Srirag, Rajesh Cherthala, and Anamika, among others.

Chithra’s return and her candid remarks have sparked conversations about the evolving role of AI in creative industries, particularly in music.
