Dubai: UAE-based Malayali entrepreneur Mohammed Ali Thayyal, CEO of the leading fruit and vegetable wholesale trading company AAK International Group, has been granted a 10-year Golden Visa by Oman. He is among the first batch of investors to receive the prestigious residency under Oman’s newly launched Golden Residency Program. Originally from Allur, Tirur in Malappuram district, Kerala, Mohammed Ali has also been a recipient of the UAE Golden Visa since 2021.
Launched last month as part of Oman Vision 2040, the Golden Residency initiative aims to attract foreign investors and highly skilled professionals. The program is designed to encourage long-term investment, boost private sector growth, generate employment opportunities, and facilitate knowledge transfer within the Sultanate.
AAK International Group, headquartered in Al Aweer, UAE, has built a significant commercial presence in Oman, including major investments in Oman’s Silal Market and other trading ventures. Mohammed Ali was awarded the visa under the Investor Category. He officially received his Golden Visa card from Salem Al Sawai, Officer at Oman Investment Corporation, during a recent ceremony.
Expressing his gratitude, Mohammed Ali thanked the leadership and officials of Oman for granting him the honor, noting that the recognition reflects Oman’s commitment to supporting serious investors and entrepreneurs.
