Aster DM Healthcare and GEMS Education have signed a strategic partnership to ensure the health and wellbeing of students across 45 GEMS-operated schools in the UAE. This collaboration will introduce a comprehensive 12-month Health & Wellness Program designed to promote preventive care, mental health support, nutrition awareness, and physical fitness for over 140,000 students, 25,000 staff members, and 110,000 family members. Operating under GEMS Education’s “Beyond 100 (BEYOND100)” initiative and the “Catch Them Young” policy, the program aims to instill positive health habits and responsible lifestyle practices in students from an early age, while empowering teachers and families with exclusive benefits such as priority medical appointments and dedicated awareness campaigns.
Alisha Moopen, Managing Director and Group CEO of Aster DM Healthcare, emphasized that today’s students represent the future leadership of the UAE, and the partnership is designed to ensure they grow into healthy, well-rounded individuals. “Our responsibility begins by empowering educators with the right health knowledge and care solutions, which ultimately helps students develop lifelong healthy habits,” she said. GEMS Education Deputy CEO Jay Varkey added that this initiative reflects a shared vision of providing not just education but also access to world-class healthcare and wellbeing resources. The program officially launches this September and will provide GEMS families with exclusive offers across Aster’s hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, and medical centers, strengthening the holistic ecosystem of care and learning.
