The Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC) is set to host its first-ever Space Science Connect event on September 17–18, 2025, at its Dubai headquarters, marking a significant step in the UAE’s space research and exploration ambitions. The two-day event will gather leading scientists, engineers, and space experts to share knowledge, discuss ongoing projects, and explore future collaborations. With a focus on advancing human spaceflight and lunar science, the programme highlights the UAE’s commitment to becoming a global hub for space science and technology.
Adnan AlRais, Assistant Director General of Space Operations and Exploration Sector at MBRSC, emphasized the event’s role as a platform for scientific dialogue aligned with national space priorities. “MBRSC Space Science Connect is not just about presenting our achievements but about fostering a collaborative ecosystem that shapes research directions and inspires innovation,” he said. The event revolves around the dual themes of “Life in Orbit” and “Science on the Moon”, with plenary sessions and technical discussions covering topics such as human physiology in space, protein crystal growth, analog missions, and in-situ resource utilisation.
Participants will hear presentations from MBRSC experts and partner institutions, alongside interactive panels designed to encourage knowledge exchange and scientific advancement. This event reflects the UAE’s strategic vision to play a leading role in space science, building on achievements like the Emirates Mars Mission and future lunar exploration plans.
