Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has launched the smart reporting service Madinati through its “Mahboub” chatbot on WhatsApp, offering residents and visitors a fast and convenient way to report infrastructure-related issues across the emirate.
Through the service, users can easily capture and share photos of damage related to right-of-way, pavements, bus shelters, traffic signals, directional signs, and other public transport and infrastructure assets. Reports are instantly routed to the concerned RTA departments, significantly reducing response times and ensuring prompt action.

The initiative forms part of RTA’s Strategy 2024–2030, which focuses on Future Readiness, Transformation into a Data-Driven Organisation, and Development of an Agile Technological Infrastructure. It also reinforces Dubai’s vision of becoming a smart, sustainable city with active community engagement.
Meera Al Shaikh, Director of Customer Happiness at RTA’s Corporate Administrative Support Services Sector, said:
“The launch of Madinati through Mahboub chatbot on WhatsApp underscores RTA’s commitment to enhancing community participation in reporting damage and preserving the quality of life across the emirate, while also strengthening RTA’s corporate reputation. It boosts engagement by ensuring rapid responses to reports and feedback within record time.”
She added that during the first half of 2025 alone, RTA’s Call Centre received 6,525 reports via Madinati. Beyond reporting, the platform also enables users to submit proposals related to streets and infrastructure, strengthening the partnership between RTA and the public in safeguarding Dubai’s urban image.
By integrating the Madinati service into WhatsApp, RTA continues to expand its flexible, scalable digital infrastructure, driving the adoption of innovative e-services that are accessible, user-friendly, and designed to meet the evolving needs of residents and visitors alike.
