Bengaluru – The much-awaited “Kantara Chapter 1”, produced by Hombale Films, is set to release worldwide on October 2 in seven languages — Kannada, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, English, and Bengali. Adding to the excitement, the film’s trailer will be unveiled on September 22 at 12:45 pm, sparking anticipation among fans across India and beyond.
In Kerala, the film will be distributed by Prithviraj Productions, which also handled the release of the first installment. The original Kantara (2022), written and directed by Rishab Shetty, was made on a relatively modest budget but went on to achieve record-breaking success, later released in multiple languages including Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, English, and Tulu. Each version saw strong box office returns, cementing the film’s place as a modern classic of Indian cinema.

Produced by Vijay Kiragandur of Hombale Films, “Kantara Chapter 1” has reportedly been in the making for three years.
