Dubai: The sixth CH. Mohammed Rashtra Seva Award, instituted by the Dubai KMCC Kozhikode District Committee in memory of former Kerala Chief Minister and Muslim League stalwart CH. Mohammed Koya, was presented to Prof. Khader Moideen, National President of the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) and former parliamentarian. The award ceremony highlighted the enduring legacy of CH. Mohammed Koya, who remains a respected figure in Kerala’s political history for his leadership and contributions to public service.
The event drew a significant gathering of senior leaders, underlining its importance within the community. Muslim League State President Syed Sadiqali Shihab Thangal, All India General Secretary P.K. Kunhalikutty, senior Congress leader Ramesh Chennithala, State General Secretary P.M.A. Salam, and MLA K.M. Shaji were among the prominent figures who participated. Their presence underscored the collective respect for Prof. Khader Moideen’s decades-long service in politics and community welfare.
Dubai KMCC President Anwar Amin and Jury Member P.A. Salman Ibrahim joined several other leaders in coordinating the award ceremony. Key figures from Dubai KMCC and Kozhikode Jilala KMCC, including K.P. Muhammad, Jaleel Mashhur Thangal, Treasurer Hamza, and National Secretary K. Zubair, also played active roles in the event. Community leaders such as Adv. Faisal Babu, Najeeb Thachampoyil, Ismail Cherupperi, and others lent their support, making the occasion a well-represented gathering of Malayali diaspora leadership in the UAE.
Instituted in memory of CH. Mohammed Koya, the award is presented annually to individuals who have made outstanding contributions to politics, social service, and leadership. This year’s recognition of Prof. Khader Moideen not only celebrated his personal achievements but also reinforced the community’s respect for leaders who dedicate their lives to public good.
