Globally accredited training empowers employees, partners, and contractors while reinforcing sustainability of safety excellence
Dubai, September 23, 2025: Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), in collaboration with Keolis MHI—the operator and maintainer of Dubai Metro and Tram—has successfully concluded a Risk Assessment Training Programme conducted in partnership with Bureau Veritas, a global leader in certification and safety standards.
The initiative underscores RTA’s commitment to embedding risk awareness as a shared culture across employees, contractors, and partners, ensuring operational excellence and sustainability of safety practices.
The three-month programme, held earlier this year, involved more than 100 participants, including 20 UAE nationals, drawn from various RTA departments, Keolis MHI, and major contractors.
Comprehensive Training Approach
Delivered across six interactive sessions, the training combined theoretical frameworks with practical applications, enabling cross-functional teams to:
- Understand and apply key risk management concepts.
- Learn supporting policies, procedures, and communication methods.
- Analyse workplace hazards by evaluating probability and severity.
- Recommend effective control measures to reduce or eliminate risks.
Globally Recognised Certification
Participants were awarded internationally recognised certificates from Bureau Veritas, established in Paris in 1828 and present in over 140 countries worldwide. This accreditation validates the programme’s effectiveness in producing qualified professionals who can actively contribute to a culture of safety excellence.
Speaking about the initiative, RTA emphasised that the programme ensures safety is embraced as a practical, day-to-day responsibility rather than a procedural requirement, reinforcing Dubai’s global leadership in transport safety and sustainability.
