Dubai, UAE – 23 September 2025: In a landmark move for the UAE’s transport sector, Dubai Taxi Company (DTC), together with its strategic partner Bolt, has entered into a strategic alliance with Kabi by Al Ghurair and Zed, the UAE’s homegrown ride-hailing app. The agreement aims to enhance the ride-hailing experience for residents and visitors, bringing smarter, faster, and more sustainable mobility solutions to Dubai.
The partnership was formalized through the signing of an agreement between Mansoor Rahma Alfalasi, CEO of Dubai Taxi Company, and Badr Al Ghurair, CEO of Kabi, Al Ghurair Mobility. The deal marks a major milestone in Dubai’s journey towards customer-centric transport solutions aligned with its smart mobility vision.

Under the agreement, DTC’s fleet of 6,200 taxis and Kabi’s 3,680 taxis will be seamlessly integrated into the Bolt and Zed e-hailing platforms. This integration will significantly expand customer access to taxis, reduce waiting times, and improve service efficiency. Future fleet expansions by both partners will also be automatically added to the platforms, ensuring capacity grows in line with rising demand.

The initiative supports Dubai Government’s ambitious target of converting 80% of taxi trips to e-hailing under the Roads and Transport Authority’s wider vision for smart and sustainable mobility. Dubai’s taxi sector recorded a 7% growth in the first half of 2025 compared with the same period in 2024, reflecting both resilience and growing demand.

Mansoor Rahma Alfalasi, CEO of Dubai Taxi Company, said:
“At DTC, we are committed to driving innovation and building partnerships that enhance customer experience while strengthening Dubai’s mobility ecosystem. By adding Kabi taxis to our existing fleet on the Bolt platform, we are expanding access and embedding taxis more deeply into the digital ride-hailing experience, in direct support of the government’s smart mobility goals.”

Badr Al Ghurair, CEO of Kabi, Al Ghurair Mobility, added:
“This partnership represents a pivotal step in uniting industry expertise to meet the evolving needs of Dubai’s residents and visitors. By combining resources and leveraging advanced technologies, we are expanding taxi availability while setting new standards in efficiency, service quality, and sustainability. Through Kabi and Zed, we are proud to play a central role in redefining ride-hailing in the UAE.”
