Malayalis have strengthened their position as a powerful business community in the Gulf, with 22 distinguished personalities securing places on a prestigious influence ranking.

Leading the list is retail giant M. A. Yusuff Ali, alongside global education entrepreneur Sunny Varkey and healthcare visionary Azad Moopen. Also featured are Shamsheer Vayalil, Adeeb Ahamed, P. N. C. Menon, and Joy Alukkas among others.

The list highlights individuals who have significantly influenced business growth, investment landscapes, philanthropy, and innovation across the UAE and the wider GCC region. Many of these leaders head multinational corporations spanning retail chains, hospitals, real estate conglomerates, media ventures, and financial institutions.

Experts say the strong representation of Malayalis reflects decades of hard work, strategic investment, and global vision. It also showcases how the Kerala diaspora continues to play a crucial role in strengthening economic ties between India and the Middle East.

The recognition is seen not only as a personal achievement for the individuals but also as a proud moment for the global Malayali community.
