Dubai / New Delhi, March 3, 2026: In a significant development amid escalating tensions in the Middle East, the first Indian carrier flight since the recent regional unrest successfully landed in New Delhi from Dubai on Tuesday.

The operation marks a cautious resumption of limited air connectivity between the UAE and India after disruptions caused by the ongoing Iran–Israel–US conflict, which led to temporary airspace closures and flight suspensions across parts of the Gulf.

Dubai Airport Issues Advisory

Dubai Airports issued a public advisory on Monday evening, urging passengers not to travel to the airport unless they have received official confirmation from their respective airlines.

Authorities emphasized that operations are being managed in a controlled manner, prioritising passenger safety and airspace coordination.

Limited Operations Continue

Several airlines, including Indian carriers, are gradually assessing the situation and operating select flights based on security clearance and airspace availability. Many services remain suspended or subject to last-minute changes.

Passengers have been advised to:

  • Check flight status directly with airlines
  • Avoid arriving early at airports without confirmation
  • Monitor official airport and airline communication channels

Regional Impact

The conflict has disrupted aviation routes across the Gulf, affecting thousands of travelers. Airports in Dubai and Abu Dhabi had earlier scaled back operations as precautionary measures due to missile and drone threats in the region.

While the arrival of the first Indian flight signals cautious progress, authorities have clarified that full-scale operations will depend on evolving security assessments.

The situation remains dynamic, with governments and aviation authorities closely monitoring developments to ensure passenger safety.
