Dubai: The Asianet Television Awards 2026 will celebrate excellence in Malayalam television while highlighting the spirit of women empowerment with this year’s theme, “She is the Colour.” The event honors the strength, resilience, and achievements of women who inspire society and contribute to meaningful change.
The ceremony will recognize several distinguished women personalities, including legendary playback singer Vimala Varma, widely regarded as the first female Malayalam playback singer. The awards will also pay tribute to Padma Shri recipients Devaki Amma and Kalamandalam Vimala Menon for their remarkable contributions to the arts.
Prominent personalities including Shweta Menon, President of the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA), and National Award-winning actress Surabhi Lakshmi will also be honored during the ceremony.
The star-studded event will feature the presence of several celebrated actors such as Jayasurya, Vijay Babu, Asha Sarath, Lena, Esther Anil, Anumol, Gayathri Suresh, Sabumon Abdusamad, Swasika, Tini Tom, Sijoy Varghese, Kailash, Veena Nandakumar, Sabareesh Varma, Ansiba Hassan and Dinesh Prabhakar.
The awards recognize outstanding achievements across multiple categories in Malayalam television, honoring the talent and dedication of artists and technicians who contribute to the industry.
The evening will also feature spectacular entertainment segments including dance performances, stunt acts, and comedy skits by popular television and film stars.
The Asianet Television Awards 2026 will be telecast on Asianet Middle East on March 14 and 15 from 7 PM UAE time, bringing the grand celebration to audiences across the Middle East.
