Sharjah Indian School Juwaiza celebrates International Yoga Day with mass student protocol demonstration.
SHARJAH: Yoga has become an absolute necessity for maintaining a smooth and healthy life in the post-modern era, observed Shri. Sunil Kumar, Consul (Passport & Consular Services) at the Consulate General of India in Dubai. He was speaking as the chief guest during the International Yoga Day celebrations held at Sharjah Indian School, Juwaiza.
The official event was inaugurated by the school Principal, Vijimon Ayyappan. The gathering was welcomed by Pranoj T.V., Head of the Physical Education Department, setting a vibrant tone for the day’s health-centric celebrations.
The commemorative event also saw felicitation speeches delivered by Vice Principal Rajeev Madhavan and Headmistress Deepti Mary Tomsy, who both emphasized the growing relevance of incorporating yoga into the daily routines of students.
Following the official ceremony, a massive International Yoga Day protocol demonstration was held on the school campus. Around 300 students actively participated in the session, showcasing various yoga postures and breathing exercises. The mass demonstration was led and coordinated by physical education teacher Shinto Gopalakrishnan.
