Dubai: Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) will open a new entry and exit point to Al Warqa from Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road early next week. The project will cut travel time by 80%—from 20 minutes to just 3.5 minutes—and reduce the trip distance from 5.7 km to 1.5 km, with road capacity increased by 5,000 vehicles per hour.Additional improvements include upgraded internal roads in Al Warqa 1, 3, and 4, pedestrian walkways, over 23 km of cycling tracks, and traffic enhancements near key schools. The RTA also completed roadworks for the Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing Establishment in Al Warqa 4, featuring 136 residential villas.
These initiatives support Dubai’s goal of building smart, connected infrastructure that enhances mobility, safety, and quality of life for residents.
