The airline reinstates missing links from Kozhikode and Bengaluru, hitting a weekly schedule of 780 flights across 13 West Asian destinations.

KOCHI, July 2, 2026 – Air India Express has fully restored its West Asian network operations following the resumption of key flight services connecting Kozhikode to Salalah and Kuwait, alongside an added deployment from Bengaluru.

The airline restarted its Kozhikode–Salalah route on July 2, with the Kozhikode–Kuwait and Bengaluru–Kuwait routes scheduled to resume on July 3 and July 4, respectively.

The resurrected Kozhikode–Salalah flight will operate twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays, departing Kozhikode at 11:00 AM and returning at 2:15 PM. The initial Friday-only schedule for Kozhikode–Kuwait will depart at 7:30 AM, arriving back in Kozhikode at 6:50 PM. However, starting July 5, Air India Express will boost frequency on the Kozhikode–Kuwait sector to three times a week (Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays), shifting departure to a 2:15 AM window.

The Bengaluru–Kuwait operations will similarly see an frequency ramp-up to thrice-weekly starting July 7, running on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Saturdays. Notably, all Air India Express operations in Kuwait will run exclusively out of Terminal 4 at Kuwait International Airport.

Additionally, the carrier is strengthening Omani connectivity by linking Bengaluru to Muscat starting July 3. Air India Express currently runs 40 weekly flights between Muscat and seven Indian destinations.

With these reinstatements, the low-cost carrier secures a massive regional footprint, operating 780 weekly flights from 18 domestic airports to 13 primary destinations across Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE. Kozhikode remains a key gateway for the carrier, managing 85 weekly regional operations.
