Dubai: Dr. Anwar Gargash, Diplomatic Advisor to the UAE President, has strongly emphasized that strengthening unity among the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states is essential to confronting threats to the region’s security and stability.
In a statement posted on social media platform X, Gargash highlighted that enhancing a unified GCC stance remains an “absolute necessity” amidst evolving threats affecting the sovereignty and stability of Gulf nations.
He further stressed that there is “no alternative” to addressing these regional challenges other than uniting ranks to defend national sovereignty and safeguard historical achievements, rooted in a shared destiny and common interests. “That is the message of the UAE and its leadership,” Gargash added.
These remarks coincide with official talks held by UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan with Kuwait’s leadership, aimed at reinforcing bilateral ties and strengthening coordination on key regional developments.
