Dubai: After hours of intense anxiety, Gulf countries have found relief following the ceasefire between Iran and Israel. Yesterday marked a day of calm in places like Qatar and Bahrain, which had been gripped by missile fears. The UAE welcomed the ceasefire, and the foreign ministers of Iran and the UAE held a phone discussion regarding the situation.

Qatar’s Emir personally called U.S. President Donald Trump to thank him for intercepting Iran’s attacks. Qatar’s Prime Minister, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, stated that legal action would be taken against Iran. He asserted that no violation of Qatar’s sovereignty would be tolerated and declared that the attack would never be forgotten. Qatar also summoned the Iranian ambassador to formally register its protest.Meanwhile, Iran has urged that the attack on the U.S. base in Qatar be viewed strictly as an act of self-defense.Life returned to normal in Bahrain yesterday, with restrictions lifted from public spaces and shopping malls. Following the conflict, Iraq reopened its airspace after a 12-day closure. The Civil Aviation Authority announced that international flights may now resume routes over Iraq. Syria has also reopened its airspace.
Saudi Arabia welcomed the announcement of the ceasefire and expressed full support for initiatives aimed at restoring peace, according to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
