Ahmed Obaid Al Qaseer emphasizes Sharjah’s aligned development model focusing on culture, education, and economy to support national progress.

SHARJAH : H.E. Ahmed Obaid Al Qaseer, CEO of the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq), said: “On Union Pledge Day, we reflect on the philosophy upon which the United Arab Emirates was founded; one that recognised from the outset that true investment begins with people, and that sustainable development is the surest path to building a nation capable of shaping its future, not just embracing it. The UAE’s remarkable global standing today as a leading economic and development model is the result of a forward-looking approach that has made long-term planning, integration, and quality of life the cornerstones of the Union’s journey.”

He added: “In Sharjah, these values are embodied in the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, who has always believed that people are both the driving force and the purpose of development. By investing in culture, education, environment, and economy as one integrated system, Sharjah continues to make a meaningful contribution to the Union. This balanced approach preserves identity, embraces innovation, and strengthens the country’s position as a leading place to live, work and invest.”
