Construction and Administration Entrusted to Indian Relief Committee, Ras Al Khaimah
Ras Al Khaimah: Shri Satish Kumar Sivan, Consul General of India in Dubai, has expressed the heartfelt gratitude of the Indian community to His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Member of the UAE Supreme Council and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, and the Government of Ras Al Khaimah for allocating land for the establishment of a cremation centre to serve the Indian community in the emirate.
Speaking during a meeting with the office-bearers of the Indian Relief Committee (IRC-RAK) following his farewell audience with His Highness the Ruler on Monday 27/07/2026, Shri Satish Kumar Sivan said that the land at Al Jazeera Al Hamrah had been officially allotted by the Ras Al Khaimah Government to the Consulate General of India for the construction of the cremation centre.

He further announced that the Consulate General of India has entrusted the Core Committee comprised members from diverse Indian Community led by the Indian Relief Committee, Ras Al Khaimah( (IRC-RAK) with the responsibility of overseeing the construction, administration and future maintenance of the cremation center. The project is expected to provide a dignified and much-needed facility for Indian diaspora in Ras Al Khaimah.
During the meeting, Shri Satish Kumar Sivan formally handed over the location sketch map issued by the Ras Al Khaimah Municipality to the Core Committee members of the proposed cremetorium, signifying the commencement of the project’s implementation.
As Shri Satish Kumar Sivan concludes his distinguished tenure as Consul General of India in Dubai and prepares to return to India, the Indian Relief Committee honored him with a commemorative memento in appreciation of his dedicated service and invaluable contributions to the welfare of the Indian community in the United Arab Emirates.
Dr. Nisham Noorudeen, President of the Indian Relief Committee (IRC), and C. Padmaraj, Administrator, warmly welcomed Consul General Shri Satish Kumar Sivan. Core Committee members Shri Rajeev Ranjan Singh, Shri Supriya Ghosh, Shri Pradeep Verma, Shri Sreedharan Prasad, and Shri Anil Vidhyadharan, along with social worker Shri Naser Aldhana, expressed their sincere gratitude to Shri Satish Kumar Sivan for his continued support and encouragement to the Indian community in Ras Al Khaimah.
