DUBAI — Dubai Municipality has launched a comprehensive infrastructure project to construct new, purpose-built protection centers dedicated to supporting women and children across the emirate.
The municipal authority confirmed that the new facilities will provide specialized shelter, psychological support, legal counseling, and family protection services. Designed in alignment with international safety and accessibility standards, the development aims to enhance the emirate’s social safety net and streamline emergency interventions for vulnerable individuals.
The initiative forms part of Dubai’s broader municipal strategy to expand public welfare infrastructure and integrate comprehensive community support services into urban planning. The centers will operate in direct coordination with human rights authorities, law enforcement agencies, and local healthcare providers to ensure immediate and confidential care.
Project blueprints specify that the upcoming complexes will feature secure residential accommodations, private consultation rooms, dedicated child development areas, and rehabilitation spaces. Construction timelines and specific site allocations will be released in phases following final municipal site approvals.
