India Utsav launches across Lulu Hypermarkets in UAE ; Indian Ambassador Dr Deepak Mittal inaugurates week-long festival

Festival marks India’s Independence Day with authentic products, traditional flavours and cultural performances

Abu Dhabi: Celebrating India’s Independence Day and showcasing the country’s rich cultural heritage, Lulu has launched India Utsav festival across all its hypermarkets in the UAE.

The week-long festival brings together an extensive range of authentic Indian products, traditional cuisine, ethnic fashion and cultural performances, along with special promotions across multiple categories.

Dr Deepak Mittal, Ambassador of India to the UAE officially inaugurated Indian Utsav at Lulu hypermarket, Al Wahda Mall, Abu Dhabi, in the presence of Yusuffali M.A., Chairman of Lulu Group, and other dignitaries.

“Festivals such as India Utsav reflect the deep-rooted partnership between India and the UAE. Lulu have an important role in strengthening bilateral trade, supporting food security and expanding the global reach of Indian products. The recent visit of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, to the Lulu Hypermarket also reflects the Group’s strong connection with the UAE and its communities,” said Dr Deepak Mittal.

“Lulu has always remained committed to supporting Indian products and providing them with a strong platform in the UAE and across international markets. Every year, in celebration of India’s Independence Day, we organise India Utsav to promote Indian products and showcase the country’s diverse flavours and rich cultural heritage to Emiratis and the large expatriate community living in the region,” said Yusuffali M.A., Chairman of LuLu Group.

The festival features special offers on rice, spices, breakfast products, cereals, meat, groceries, ready-to-cook snacks and household essentials. Customers can also explore a wide variety of organic products, millets, nutritious grains, popular street foods, traditional sweets, biryanis and regional delicacies from across India.

The offers are available both in-store and online throughout the festival. Traditional performances will also be part of the week-long celebrations.

Also present on the occassion were Saifee Rupawala CEO of Lulu; Ashraf Ali M.A., Executive Director of Lulu; Salim V.I, Chief Operating & Strategy Officer of Lulu; V Nandakumar, Director of Marketing & Communications of Lulu; Varun Wahi, General Secretary of Indian Business & Professional Group; Bijy M Thomas, President of Indian Social Center; Manoj, President of Kerala Social Center; A.M. Ansar, President of Abu Dhabi Malayalee Samajam; Smitha Sathish, President, Indian Ladies Association; and other dignitaries.
