Ajman: India’s 80th Independence Day was celebrated in a unique and adventurous way at the Masfout Mountains in the UAE by A4 Adventure, one of the largest adventure travel communities in the GCC.
The celebrations began at 4 a.m., as members of A4 Adventure trekked up the mountains carrying the flags of India and the UAE. The Indian and UAE flags were hoisted at an elevation of around 1,850 feet above sea level, marking the beginning of the Independence Day celebrations.
After completing the trek, participants gathered at a specially decorated venue at the foothills, where a series of programmes were organised. The event featured an Independence Day message, a pledge, and various quizzes and activities based on India’s Independence Day.
In his Independence Day message, A4 Adventure founder Hari North Kottachery said adventure communities can play an important role in strengthening love, friendship and brotherhood within society by organising more adventurous journeys and bringing people together through such experiences.
More than 100 people, including children and adults, took part in the celebrations.
The programmes were led by Jibs, Akhil and Vishnu, along with the A4 Adventure team.
The event combined patriotism, adventure and community spirit, offering participants a memorable way to celebrate India’s Independence Day in the UAE.
