Dubai, UAE A vibrant cultural celebration is set to take place tomorrow as the Kerala Muslim Cultural Centre (KMCC) Dubai hosts the highly anticipated CH Memorial Arts and Literary Competitions at the KMCC Auditorium. The event, scheduled for September 19 at 6 PM, is part of the prestigious CH International Summit, commemorating the life and contributions of the eminent personality, CH, through creative expression.

The competition lineup includes the CH Memorial Poetry Writing Contest, Memorial Speech Contest, and Memorial Song Competition, designed to inspire participants and showcase their literary and artistic talents. Additionally, an important Essay Writing Competition is being held online under the theme “CH – A Flagbearer of Human Spirit”, with submissions in PDF format accepted via email (kkdkmcc@gmail.com) until September 20, 2025.

Participants will include both members and non-members of the KMCC from all district and mandalam wings in Dubai, encouraging widespread involvement from the expatriate Malayali community. These competitions are seen as an important way to promote cultural solidarity, foster artistic excellence, and keep alive the literary traditions of Kerala in the UAE.

The event’s preparations were discussed in the Sargotsava Preparatory Meeting, chaired by Najeeb Thachampoyil, with notable participants including Rishad Mampoyil, Azeez Kakkeri, Sufiyan Adivaram, Jaleel Mavoor, Fasil Pavandur, and Rafi Pookode. The Sargadhara General Convener, Shareej Cheekilod, extended a warm welcome, while Co-ordinator Shamsu Mathottam expressed gratitude for the strong support from the community.

As Dubai’s Malayali cultural circle comes together for this memorable event, anticipation is building for an evening of inspiring performances and thought-provoking writings that reflect the enduring legacy of CH. The competition not only provides a platform for artistic expression but also reinforces the power of culture in uniting communities far from home.
