Agreement builds on the Al Dhannah Hospital alliance to roll out specialized clinical care, occupational health hubs, and digital medical services for staff and local communities.
ABU DHABI —Energy giant ADNOC has strengthened its strategic healthcare alliance with Burjeel Holdings to scale up clinical and preventive medical coverage across Abu Dhabi’s Al Dhafra region, the two entities announced.
The expanded partnership extends specialized care to ADNOC employees, their dependents, and the wider population residing across the Western Region. It marks the next phase of collaboration following Burjeel’s takeover of operations and management at Al Dhannah Hospital in 2023.
Under the updated framework, the organizations plan to transition ADNOC’s Occupational Medical Center into an integrated “One Health Hub.” The facility will merge occupational health disciplines with proactive disease prevention, routine screenings, and long-term wellness programs.
Both groups are also evaluating sites to establish supplementary outpatient clinics and day-surgery facilities throughout Al Dhafra, aiming to cut travel times for patients requiring specialized treatment outside major metropolitan centres.
The service portfolio will cover advanced clinical disciplines, geriatric care, community wellness initiatives, and digital telemedicine platforms designed to monitor chronic illnesses remotely.
Khalid Al Hosani, Acting Executive Vice President of Group Business Support at ADNOC, stated that the initiative aligns with the company’s priority to safeguard workforce welfare and support community health infrastructure through private-sector expertise.
Burjeel Holdings Chairman and CEO Dr. Shamsheer Vayalil said the agreement builds upon the operational benchmarks established at Al Dhannah Hospital over the past year. He noted that the joint focus remains on preventative healthcare, reducing hospital admission rates through early intervention, and deploying decentralized medical access across remote industrial and residential hubs in the emirate.
