Dubai witnessed a vibrant celebration of Ayurveda Day as the Emirates Ayurveda Graduates Association (EAGA), in collaboration with the Indian Consulate, organized a special event at the Indian Consulate auditorium. The program highlighted India’s traditional healing system while fostering dialogue between diverse streams of medicine.
The ceremony was graced by Shri Bijendra Singh, Head of Chancery and Consul (Protocol, Welfare, RTI & Culture), as the Chief Guest, and Amina Al Haydhan, who attended as the Guest of Honour. Their presence underscored the growing recognition of Ayurveda and integrative healthcare in the UAE.

The main highlight of the event was a panel discussion on the topic “Hypertension – Approaches Across Different Medical Systems.” Experts representing various disciplines contributed insights: Dr. Fatima Ridene (Allopathy), Dr. Rahul Shankar (Ayurveda), Dr. Sreelakha (Homeopathy), Dr. Rashid Khan (Unani), Dr. Aravind James (Naturopathy), and Dr. Leena Rathod (Yoga). The discussion was moderated by Dr. Suresh Vishwakumar, who guided the exchange of ideas on holistic and complementary healthcare solutions.

EAGA President Dr. Hridhya T. Chandran presided over the function, while Dr. Anees Hassan delivered the welcome address and Dr. Zaineb proposed the vote of thanks. The event highlighted the relevance of Ayurveda in addressing modern health challenges, while also emphasizing collaboration across traditional and modern medical sciences.
