Expanded exhibition floor and curated regional collections fuel robust sales across international pavilions at Expo Centre Sharjah
SHARJAH, Oct. 2, 2026 : Expo Centre Sharjah is reporting strong footfall and brisk sales at the 58th Watch & Jewellery Middle East Show, driven by expanded floor space, exclusive regional launches, and softer gold prices that have spurred retail buying.
Exhibitors across the five-day exhibition reported heightened trading momentum across fine jewellery, bullion, and luxury timepieces. The autumn edition brings together hundreds of global and regional houses, serving both wholesale trade buyers and consumers seeking retail investments.
Lower retail gold rates this week have injected fresh momentum into the halls. Shoppers capitalized on price corrections to purchase wedding sets, traditional high-carat gold items, and certified investment bars ahead of the regional festive and bridal season.
“Participation here demands meticulous advance planning because of the sheer scale of commercial traffic,” said Mohammed Dhaiban, Marketing Manager at Al Romaizan Gold & Jewellery. “We designed exclusive lines strictly for this showcase. The visitor response has translated into genuine sales across our counters, aided directly by the softer price environment.”
Organizers expanded the venue layout this year to accommodate increased exhibitor demands, adding dedicated pavilion space and streamlining visitor flow across the halls.
Mohammed Al Abadi, General Manager of Al Abadi Jewellery, returning for his brand’s seventh appearance, pointed out that the additional space gave participants better positioning. “The upgraded footprint allows brands to display broader inventories without crowding, which has directly elevated buyer dwell time,” Al Abadi said.
Local flagship brands have maintained a dominant presence. Salem Al Shuaibi Jewellery, serving as a primary sponsor, mounted one of the exhibition’s largest single displays, bringing an estimated 150,000 pieces to the floor.
“We have stood with this exhibition across all 58 editions,” said Ahmed Aneezan, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Salem Al Shuaibi Jewellery. “The commercial return this week validates that continuity. High visitor volume combined with an appetite for both bespoke luxury and classic bullion pieces is yielding exceptional turnover.”
The trade event continues through the weekend, spotlighting master jewelers, gemological workshops, and dedicated national pavilions from key manufacturing hubs across Italy, India, and the wider Gulf.
