Twenty trucks cross into the enclave as cumulative Emirati relief tops 137,000 tonnes since the start of the humanitarian campaign
ABU DHABI —Two United Arab Emirates humanitarian aid convoys carrying 259 tonnes of food supplies entered the Gaza Strip this week under Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, moving essential rations to civilians facing critical food shortages across the besieged enclave.
The shipment comprised 20 commercial trucks loaded with essential food parcels, state news agency WAM reported on Sunday. The dispatch forms part of the UAE’s sustained land-bridge initiative aimed at buffering regional aid shortfalls and addressing acute household food insecurity in the territory.
With the latest border crossing, the total volume of relief material transported into Gaza under Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 reached 137,241 tonnes, delivered across 14,519 trucks since the mission began.
Field operations remain centered at the UAE Humanitarian Aid Logistics Centre in the northern Sinai city of Al Arish, Egypt. The facility operates as the primary staging hub where incoming air, sea, and land consignments are inspected, sorted, packaged, and loaded onto overland fleets bound for designated crossing points into Gaza.
Emirati logistics teams continue staging additional food and emergency supplies in Al Arish to preserve pipeline continuity. International humanitarian agencies have repeatedly warned that prolonged disruptions to overland supply chains threaten basic survival thresholds for hundreds of thousands of displaced families across the Strip.
Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, ordered by UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, remains one of the largest single-nation humanitarian operations inside Gaza. Alongside direct land convoys, the mission encompasses field hospitals, desalination infrastructure providing drinking water to border populations, and automated bakeries supplying daily rations.
