Carrier cancels Abu Dhabi flights to Riyadh and Dammam until November 19 while restarting select Jeddah services from Friday
ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates — Etihad Airways has extended the suspension of passenger and cargo flights between Abu Dhabi and two major Saudi Arabian destinations, Riyadh and Dammam, through Thursday, November 19, citing ongoing regional disruptions.
The national airline of the UAE confirmed that all services connecting Abu Dhabi with King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh and King Fahd International Airport in Dammam will remain grounded for the next two weeks. The cancellation applies across both commercial passenger and freight operations.
The carrier plans to resume select commercial links to Saudi Arabia on Friday, November 6, restarting four scheduled flights between Abu Dhabi and Jeddah. The returning services comprise flights EY601 and EY603 from Abu Dhabi to Jeddah, along with return services EY602 and EY604 from Jeddah to Abu Dhabi. All other scheduled services on the Abu Dhabi–Jeddah corridor will run as planned.
Etihad cautioned that operational conditions remain dynamic and subject to short-notice schedule revisions. Passengers booked on cancelled routes have been advised to avoid traveling to airports without confirmed rebookings and to contact the airline directly via its website, live chat, or customer contact centers for rebooking assistance, alternative routing, or refunds.
Apologizing for the disruption to travel schedules, Etihad stated that customer support teams are actively assisting ticket holders, reiterating that the safety and well-being of guests and crew remain the airline’s primary operational priority.
