The General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) Dubai accorded a special welcome to the winners of the Great Arab Minds Award and their families at Dubai International Airport, Terminal 3, celebrating Arab intellectual and scientific excellence on a global stage.
As part of the reception, dedicated pathways and exclusive counters were arranged at the airport to ensure a seamless and dignified arrival experience for the award winners. Commemorative stamps bearing the official logo of the Great Arab Minds Award were also presented as a symbol of recognition and honor.
GDRFA Dubai stated that the initiative reflects the UAE’s strong commitment to knowledge, innovation, and creativity, while reinforcing Dubai’s position as a global hub for intellectual thought and scientific advancement. The reception was described as a tribute to creative thinkers and innovators from the Arab world who contribute to shaping a brighter future.

Launched in 2022 by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Great Arab Minds Award—often referred to as the “Arab Nobel”—aims to honor and encourage exceptional Arab scientists, thinkers, researchers, and innovators. It is considered one of the largest and most prestigious intellectual initiatives in the Arab world.
The award recognizes outstanding contributions across multiple fields, including Medicine, Natural Sciences, Engineering & Technology, Economics, Architecture & Design, and Literature & Arts. Its core objectives include discovering exceptional Arab talent, supporting innovative ideas, inspiring younger generations, and strengthening the scientific and cultural progress of the Arab region.

GDRFA Dubai noted that the special airport reception sends a powerful message about Dubai’s journey forward—placing knowledge, innovation, and intellectual achievement at the heart of its global vision.
