Animal lovers and volunteers are hopeful of a rare and emotional reunion after receiving credible information about the sighting of Elsa, a pet dog that went missing nearly 100 days ago. Elsa, a two-year-old dog, was reportedly spotted in the Al Rigga area of Dubai, raising renewed optimism that she may soon be reunited with her family.
Elsa went missing on October 13 while preparations were underway to relocate her with her family from Abu Dhabi to Singapore. During the relocation process, the dog reportedly escaped from a vehicle belonging to a pet relocation company. Despite extensive searches conducted over several days, Elsa could not be traced at the time.
Over the past few months, multiple sightings were reported from different parts of Dubai, but none led to her recovery, leaving animal welfare groups and the family deeply disappointed. In response, volunteers from Rad Paws Up for Pets, an Abu Dhabi-based animal welfare organisation, announced a reward of AED 10,000 for information leading to Elsa’s safe return.
According to Tracy Huges, founder of Rad Paws Up for Pets, the latest information suggests that Elsa was seen behind Al Ghurair Centre. She stated that the tip appears reliable and has renewed hope among volunteers, who believe the dog may be located soon.
Elsa was adopted by the family in 2024 from Rad Paws Up for Pets when she was just eight months old. Animal lovers and volunteers continue their search efforts, hopeful that Elsa will soon be safely rescued and reunited with her family.
