In a thrilling ICC Under-19 World Cup final, India defeated England by 100 runs, claiming their sixth title, powered by an explosive 175 from Vaibhav Suryavanshi. Opting to bat first, India posted 411 for 9, a mammoth total that left England chasing from the start.
Suryavanshi smashed 15 sixes and 15 fours, while support from Ayush Mhatre and Abhigyan Kundu ensured India maintained a blistering scoring rate. England started strongly with Ben Dawkins and Ben Mayes, but a middle-order collapse derailed their chase. Despite a valiant 115 from Caleb Falconer, England were bowled out for 311, falling short of the target.
The Indian bowling attack, led by RS Ambrish (3/56) and backed by Deepesh Devendran and Kanishk Chauhan, ensured no further recovery. The win highlights India’s consistent dominance at youth cricket level, blending talented batting, sharp bowling, and team depth to lift another U-19 trophy.
