A total of 127 government employees began a new chapter in their lives at a grand mass wedding ceremony held in Dubai, reinforcing the emirate’s commitment to family stability and social cohesion.
The large-scale event was jointly organized by the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai (GDRFA Dubai) and Dubai Customs at the prestigious Dubai World Trade Centre.
The ceremony was attended by Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who highlighted the importance of family as the foundation of a strong and stable society. He noted that collective weddings provide vital moral and financial support to young couples, helping them transition confidently into married life.
Among the grooms, 87 were from GDRFA Dubai, 34 from Dubai Customs, and six from the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation. The initiative, now in its 12th edition, reflects continued collaboration between key government entities to promote social well-being.
Senior officials including Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of GDRFA Dubai, and Dr. Abdullah Busenad, Director General of Dubai Customs, attended the event. They emphasized that such initiatives align with the UAE’s “Year of the Family 2026” and broader national strategies aimed at enhancing quality of life and strengthening community bonds.
The newly married couples expressed appreciation to the UAE leadership for their ongoing support and efforts to foster a stable and prosperous society.
