Gurugram: Air India and Air India Express have announced that they will continue scheduled flights to Jeddah and Muscat on March 10, 2026, as airspaces over Saudi Arabia and Oman remain open despite ongoing disruptions in parts of West Asia.
According to the airline group, 14 flights will operate to and from Jeddah, while Air India Express will operate 14 flights to and from Muscat connecting several Indian cities.
Air India will operate one round-trip flight from Delhi and two round-trips from Mumbai to Jeddah, while Air India Express will run services from Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mangaluru, and Kozhikode to Jeddah.
For Muscat, Air India Express will operate flights from Delhi, Kannur, Kochi, Mumbai, Thiruvananthapuram, and Tiruchirappalli.
In addition to the scheduled services, the Air India group will operate 32 additional ad-hoc non-scheduled flights between India and the United Arab Emirates on March 10, subject to slot availability and regulatory approvals.
Air India will operate 10 additional flights to and from Dubai, including multiple round-trips from Mumbai and Delhi. Air India Express will also operate additional flights connecting Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, and Ras Al Khaimah with several Indian cities.
The airlines said the additional flights are intended to assist passengers affected by travel disruptions in West Asia.
Meanwhile, Air India Group confirmed that scheduled services to several other West Asian destinations will remain cancelled until March 13, 2026. Passengers booked on cancelled flights can rebook their tickets for a later date without extra charges or opt for a full refund.
Passengers are advised to check their flight status before travelling to the airport and ensure their registered contact details are updated with the airline to receive important notifications.
Air India Express passengers can also rebook their flights through the airline’s AI-powered WhatsApp assistant “Tia”.
The airline group added that it is exploring further opportunities to operate additional ad-hoc flights between India and West Asia depending on the evolving situation.
