Kochi/Delhi, March 12: Lulu Group has arranged special flights to transport fresh food products from India to Kuwait, ensuring uninterrupted supply to its hypermarkets in the Gulf country.
A special Kuwait Airways Airbus A330-900 passenger aircraft arrived at Cochin International Airport from Kuwait on March 11 without passengers or cargo and departed on March 12 as flight KU5006, carrying export consignments of fresh fruits and vegetables. The shipment, weighing 32 tonnes, was arranged by Fair Exports (India) Pvt. Ltd., a division of Lulu Group, and is destined for Lulu Hypermarkets in Kuwait. The aircraft departed Kochi at 10:40 AM and reached Kuwait International Airport at 1:30 PM local time.

At the same time, another Kuwait Airways special flight from Delhi transported fresh food supplies to Kuwait. The Boeing 777 passenger aircraft, operating as flight KU5008, departed Delhi Airport at 11:00 AM on March 12, carrying around 50 tonnes of fresh meat and other products.
Lulu Group said it is also scheduling additional cargo flights to transport food products from different parts of India and other countries to the Gulf region.

Last week, the group operated special cargo flights carrying essential food items from Kochi, Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru to the UAE, as part of its efforts to maintain steady supply chains for fresh food products across its international retail network.
