A fire that broke out near Dubai International Airport after a drone incident has been successfully extinguished, authorities confirmed on Monday.
The blaze started when a drone strike impacted one of the airport’s nearby fuel storage tanks. Emergency and specialised response teams were immediately dispatched to the location to manage the situation.
Firefighters from Dubai’s Civil Defence moved quickly to contain the flames and prevent the fire from spreading. After successfully bringing the blaze under control, teams began cooling operations to ensure the area was completely safe.
Officials from the Dubai Civil Defence stated that all safety protocols were followed during the operation. The response teams implemented precautionary measures in line with approved emergency standards.
Authorities also confirmed that no injuries were reported in the incident. The rapid response helped minimise potential risks around the airport area.
Dubai officials reassured the public that the situation is stable and fully under control while monitoring continues around the affected fuel tank facility.
