Dubai: In preparation for Vishu 2026, LuLu Group has airlifted more than 3,200 tonnes of fresh fruits, vegetables, and festive essentials from Kerala to GCC countries, ensuring that expatriates can celebrate the festival with authenticity and abundance.

The large-scale operation includes special cargo flights from Kochi carrying traditional Vishu items such as kani konna (golden shower flowers), cucumber, mango, coconut, banana leaves, and a wide variety of ingredients required for the elaborate Vishu sadya. These products are sourced directly from Kerala’s agricultural sector, providing significant support to farmers and exporters.

Massive Air Cargo Operations

Around 3,200 tonnes of fresh produce are being transported to LuLu stores across the GCC under the coordination of LuLu Group’s Fair Exports division. A major shipment of 100 tonnes was delivered from Kochi to Abu Dhabi aboard a Boeing 747 cargo aircraft, with additional shipments scheduled in the coming days.

Another 100 tonnes will reach Abu Dhabi via special flights, while Kuwait is set to receive around 50 tonnes. More shipments are planned to ensure uninterrupted availability of Vishu essentials across all LuLu outlets in the region.

LuLu Group Chairman M.A. Yusuff Ali has assured customers that there will be no shortage of products and that price stability will be maintained during the festive season.

Payasam Festival & Vishu Sadya

LuLu stores across the UAE have launched extensive Vishu promotions, including a grand “Payasam Festival” featuring more than 20 varieties of traditional desserts.

In addition, pre-booking for a 23-dish Vishu sadya has already begun. Customers can place orders both online and directly at LuLu outlets. Those who book in-store will receive an additional 600 happiness points as part of the festive campaign.

Attractive Vishu Offers

To enhance the festive shopping experience, LuLu has introduced special discounts and offers. Customers spending AED 200 can avail a discount of AED 50. Exclusive deals are also available for online shoppers, along with offers on Vishu clothing (Vishu Kodi) and festival essentials.

With large-scale imports, attractive promotions, and traditional offerings, LuLu Group is ensuring a vibrant and memorable Vishu celebration for Malayali expatriates across the Gulf region.
