AI-powered expansion aims to simplify public service access through Dubai’s unified digital platform
DUBAI: Dubai’s flagship government services platform, “DubaiNow”, is set for a major expansion, with more than 180 new services expected to be integrated into the app by the end of February 2027. The move is part of the emirate’s broader strategy to streamline digital governance and improve access to public services through a unified AI-powered platform.
The announcement was made as Digital Dubai organised an intensive specialised bootcamp in collaboration with several government entities to accelerate the migration and integration of services into the DubaiNow app. The initiative aligns with Dubai’s vision of strengthening its Digital Shared Channels ecosystem and enhancing the user experience for residents and visitors alike.
The bootcamp brought together key government departments and authorities, including the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), Dubai Police, Dubai Health Authority, Dubai Health, the Department of Finance, Dubai Culture, the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department, Dubai Community Development Authority, the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation, and the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs-Dubai.
These entities will spearhead the next phase of service integration into DubaiNow, while additional government departments are expected to join the initiative in later stages.
Speaking about the development, Matar Al Hemeiri, CEO of the Digital Dubai Government Establishment, described the Digital Shared Channels Initiative as a transformative step in the delivery of government services across the emirate.
“The Digital Shared Channels Initiative marks a significant transformation in the delivery of government services in Dubai. It is built on unifying services within specialised digital channels that provide a clearer, more seamless user experience, powered by AI,” he said.
The upgraded DubaiNow platform is expected to further strengthen Dubai’s position as one of the world’s leading smart cities by reducing the need for multiple apps and offering citizens and residents easier access to essential services through a single digital gateway.
DubaiNow already offers a wide range of government and utility services, enabling users to pay bills, renew documents, manage vehicle-related services, and access healthcare and public safety features from one application.
With the upcoming integration of more than 180 additional services, authorities aim to improve convenience, efficiency, and accessibility while advancing Dubai’s long-term digital transformation agenda.
