Massive boost to Emiratisation as Sharjah continues aggressive drive to integrate local talent into the public sector.
SHARJAH — In a major boost to the UAE’s national employment strategy, His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has officially approved the employment of 717 Emiratis across various departments within the Sharjah Government.
The announcement, made on Monday, marks a significant acceleration in the emirate’s dedicated Emiratisation efforts. These newly appointed professionals will join a cohort of 633 UAE nationals who successfully secured government positions during the first five months of 2026, reflecting a sustained and structured recruitment drive by the leadership.
Empowering Job Seekers with Funded Training
Alongside the immediate employment directives, the Sharjah Ruler greenlit a major comprehensive development program designed to bridge skill gaps and prepare young professionals for the modern workforce.
The newly approved Sharjah Programme for the Qualification and Training of Job Seekers is scheduled to run from June to November 2026.
Key Highlights of the Training Initiative:
- Beneficiaries: 410 UAE nationals selected for specialized upskilling.
- Financial Support: Each participant will receive a monthly stipend of Dh6,000.
- Total Investment: A dedicated budget allocation of Dh14.76 million from the government.
